Front coil options

I decided that I'm going to go with the adjustable 5100 all the way around with superflex coils in the rear. Since the super flex are about 2" lift I want to be at 2.5-3" in the front. What are my coil options for the front 5100's. As I understand, some coils won't fit the perch of the 5100's. What are my best options for the front coils? I use it as my D.D. with the occasional off road trip.

Iron man and tjm also make a constant load and performance load 2" front spring. Check on summit racing. Also take a look at cjcoffroad.com

Icon does not make a front lift spring for the stock strut or bilstien 5100, they only make full adjustable coilovers.

Good to know. I figured they may have front spring available because they sell the rears, guess not.

Any other front coil manufacturers out there?

Add 05+ TRD Tacoma coils to that list. They are good for about a inch of lift them selves and have a bit stiffer ride then the Fj and 4Runner springs.

Do you have a source for that statement? The sticky for the different coils and rates shows the tacoma as 0.42 taller, but a 540 rate versus a 580 rate for the 4runner. This is for a 4x4 v8.

I have a set of tacoma springs, so this is why I ask.

I believe a V8 would net you that amount because of a bit more weight as I have a V6 and gain a tad over an inch. But who knows because springs do sag a bit. I've seen 4x4 4runners front end looking slammed.

I just had the TJM XGS (770FR881) and they are great. Set mine at 1.75 and got over 5"of lift from where it sat. Old stuff was way gone. Mine is a 2WD V8 though. As much as I can figure by reading other peoples builds is that I probably got about 3 1/2". Didn't think i would get that much now my front sits 1/2" higher than rear. Going to do a spacer on rear eventually. My truck is posted in the lift sticky

Yeah, My 03 v8 4x4 with Tacoma springs.... Also arkswamprider did a write up on them. The TRD springs are way beefier than the stock 4runner springs and were taller as well iirc. I will try to find the links on everything I researched prior to doing the swap.

I ordered the Moog FJ OEM replacement springs. Haven't installed them yet, but I guess they provide the most lift and are the stiffest.
