Front corner (sidmarker) light not working

I noticed my front right corner light was out, so I grabbed a two pack of orange bulbs. When I took what I thought was a bad bulb out and looked at it, it looked completely fine. So I got a little concerned...even before I put the new bulb in. Sure enough, new bulb didn't fix the problem. The connector looks 100%...and seems to be making contact just fine.

Where do I start tracking this down??

Get a multimeter or a test light. You need to check for a voltage at the connector. A visual inspection (as you did) is fine but it really needs a proper test. Also, if you want to double check that the bulbs are fine, just plug them into the other side that is working.
