Front end crunching noise

I feel like I've got a "classic case of ____" situation with a wheel noise I noticed yesterday. I just don't know what ____ IS.

Could you guys help me diagnose the sound in this video?

I noticed it while performing the Tundra brake swap over these past few days. With the brakes disengaged and the rotor free to spin, the axle or bearings appear to be making a crunching noise when the steering is either all the way to the left, or all the way to the right. It doesn't make the noise with the steering straightened out. It only happens on my passenger side.

Here's another video with the wheel on. With the momentum of the wheel it's possible to notice that the crunching noise is cyclic w.r.t. to the rotation of the wheel: it's quiet for 3/4's of the rotation and noisy for the same 1/4 of each rotation.

Side note: I try to capture a shot of the CV boot a bit in the video. It's a bit gunked up around the edges, but not clearly torn or wet.

Sounds kinda like the rubber on the cv boot. Spray a little oil on it and rotate it again. If it doesent go away try with other spots.

Sometimes anti rattle clips are touching the outside of the rotor.

Pull the cv and spin everything independently. Sounds like either bearings or cv joint. Its quick and not too difficult and you should be able to isolate it.
