Front End Vibration

Hi

I get a vibration in the front end, feels like drivers side. it mostly happens at 50+ mph and I notice there is literally a specific steering wheel position about 10-15 deg off center towards left where it happens... if I turn out of that position it stops.

Replaced tires and balanced new tires, checked control arm bushings, ball joints for looseness. Saw post about worn/loose CV joints... going to check that this am... but I know the boots are all ok. This vehicle had the steering rack replaced by previous owner... not sure what symptoms were but wondered if that could be issue again (like a worn spot in the rack). Does anybody have experience w/ issues around steering rack?
Thanks

My experience with wheel bearings is they get worse on harder turns where the bearing is on the outside of the turn. Never had a vibration that would come and go like this.

Having said that, NAPA has the axles w/ CV for $65, so I decided to replace them anyway (~150k miles). My brother has a 2004 and recommended replacing wheel bearings while in there... he did CV's then had to go back for bearing replacement. Guess I will check price on those too...but it would be better if I didn't have to shot gun the thing! What is the thought on replacing the seals - 2 at the wheel and one at the differential?

It wasn't the CV's... vibration seems to be getting more frequent. Picking up a bearing... need to figure out which one.
