Front LCA Bushings Bad

When I started my build about two years ago, I didn't know better and had the LCAs replaced with unknown (not OEM) LCAs because the bushings were bad and thay had a good amount of rust on them. I have very few miles on them and the bushings are already shot, causing pull to the left under braking. The steering wheel goes right. I looked at the LCAs while turning the wheel and the rear bushings don't even prevent the LCAs from touching the mount. Wow...

What is my best course of action? Just buy OEM control arms? Can I put OEM bushings in my random ass crappy control arms?

I've read some posts, and many say just buy the OEM LCAs, but I just wanted some input before I shell out the cash!

As always, thanks for the help. I wish I would have known about this forum before I made several costly errors.

I went with Mevotechs on my 97 Limited, and they went years and thousands of miles with no issues before the truck got hit, and was totaled. I recently picked up an 01' SR5. I'm going with the Mevotechs again. In my opinion the quality is good, and the price is cheaper than OEM.

I used them in my rear control arms. I believe the OP is talking about the front axle lower control arms.

Look at your local PicknPull yards. You can do a search on their website for 3rd Gen 4runners 96-02, and specify a distance you're willing to drive. When you find one or more 3rd Gens, you visit the yard, and fingers crossed, the LCAs are there and undamaged. When you're in the yard, pay attention to your surroundings and watch your tools. It's not uncommon for tools to grow feet and walk away while you're engrossed with removing something off a rig. Keep your tools close to you and watch out for scroatbag thieves.

Oh. Brillo isnt like that. As long as the users are civil with each other is all that matters. Lots of folks have to learn the hard way about 3rd party chain stores parts. I learned that lesson about 25 years ago.. :)
