Front license plate issue

My front plate has fallen twice when I was offroading so now i just take it off when offroading. My question is how should I fix the mount so it will stay on there properly. I have a 2000 limited 4wd if that helps. I'm thinking 4bolts & hex nuts & washers.

Put it on the back where it belongs. Who wants to mount a license plate in the front?

Unfortunately, it's illegal in some states to not have a plate on the front. I got pulled over twice in one day for that years ago. I'd say get a decent plate holder and go to town mounting it or put it on the front of the roof rack if you have one.

Maybe they make a moog license plate holder. I don't like getting pulled over. In my college days, back before the war, I got pulled over a lot because I looked like a ruffian. I still do. However, I still have bad memories. Damn California people. Though I really do like northern Cal-

OP, Maybe you could try filling the (I assumed stripped) threads with some sort of epoxy and then use self tapping screws? Or just get bigger bolts.
