Front Passenger side Windshield wiper arm Help

Hi

My wiper on my passenger side doesnt work, to my knowledge the spline on the wiper arm is striped out. (i didnt compare it to drivers side because i dont want that to break once i take it apart).

I need to buy a 2005 4runner front passenger side windshield wiper arm. Anyone know where it can buy one? I dont want to use dealership, i searched thru popular online sites but no luck please help me

You need to search the parts sites. I found four used arms I first search of used parts dealers online (between $17 and $25), and the part is available on any of the new Toyota parts dealer sites at around $52.

Without more specific info, it is hard to tell. It might have been just a loose mounting nut that allowed the shaft that drives the wiper arm to spin in the arm socket causing the splines to wear. I have also seen some of the wiper arm socket metal start to corrode and breakdown, which also causes them to loosen on the shaft. Also, if the wiper arm/blade was frozen/stuck in place and you tried to use the wipers, the arm could have been damaged then. If the drive shaft rotates back and forth, in sync with the left side, you probably just need to replace the arm. If it doesn't move, then your problem in under the cowl, and more involved to fix.
