We're excited to release our IFS Rock Surfer skidplate set for 96-02 4Runners! We started with a basic skid, like what other offer, and quickly found we needed to add a LOT more for protection in offroad use! A Strong mounting system design was required. Radiator protection was a must, ESPECIALLY at the outer corners! Internal reinforcements to prevent collapse. Easy install as possible.

-3/16" steel construction
Welded corners for supreme strength and protection for that low hanging radiator
-Unique clamp on style mounts, hardware never loosens, overtightening wont crush yours frame!

Im loving the wrap around the radiator. Dont think any other skid does that and some people think it could be an issue. These things look stout!

Where is the oil drain cutout or do I just not see it? Also dont see any drain holes. Does water pool in the skid at all when testing in wet situations?

We tried a protoype originally that did not cover the radiator. Hit the radiator on the first trail out! we got lucky and it didnt cracks, but had noticeable scrape. Of all the places on these trucks to hit, the lowest point, out in front is absolutely the first place to get smacked! Note in that pic, the driver front corner is scraped!

Good eye! After that setup, we added 2 mount mounts, and the oil drain access. The website has an image showing actual production units, adding those.

For the gas tank skid, are you going to tie it into this skid setup? Or will it have a gap between the two?

I think one other company has it tie into the gas tank... For a smooth transition if in use... I want the discount and am ready to order... Especially if it traditions

I would like to know more about those front lower control arms on that 4runner pictured. I can't find them on your website. Are the lower control arms in production?
