Front Stabilizer Bar Bushings

Just replaced my front left sway bar bushing on my 08 4runner with the prothane greasables that were recommended on one of the threads here and looks and fits great. Only problem, when I tried taking the right one off I snapped one of the bolts as they were all very rusted. I used PB breaker on both sides and eventually got the left ones off. Not so lucky on the right. Because I did not take the skid plate off it was a tight fit and chose not to use the torch to heat it. I still have the one bolt in place on the right which I was able to remove, but put back in to hold the mounting plate for now.

I have a scheduled service appointment at the dealer tomorrow anyway. The big one (timing belt, serpentine belt and water pump). I have 120k on it and have not had any of these replaced yet so figured it was time. Does anyone think the dealer could remove this broken bolt and put in a new screw and when I get it home I can put in the other bushing? I figure the truck will be on the lift already they have to take whole front apart. Is it a lot of labor for them or is it something pretty commonly seen? Broken, rusted, bolts I mean.

Bummer! Yes, they should be able to notch the broken bolt and remove it, or drill it out and tap new thread for new bolt. I would think they could do that with a half hour of labor, but wouldn't be surprised if they charged you a full hour.

Edit: I would rather do my method (using a jack) than having a lift and standing under it. that would murder the arms.

Same thing happened to me while doing the front shocks/springs last weekend. Drill the center of the bolt (start with a pilot hole) and retap for a M12x1.5x25 bolt. Takes all of about 10 minutes....minus the initial swearing and trip to the hardware store for a new bolt.
