Front tow hook removal

I did a search and couldn't find my answer. I am prepping for the arrival of my new plate bumper and took the front factory tow hook off. Do I need to re-thread a bolt back in the bolt holes or can it stay open? AZ vehicle so no worries of rust.

You can leave it on. I still have the factory hook on one side and loop on other side. I have 4x4innovations plate bumpers.

I don't want it on. My external transmission cooler line is really tight in there and I won't need the tow hook with the aftermarket bumper, that's why I need to know if I need to re-thread a bolt in that spot.

Should be ok without bolts, and it will shave some weight off your rig....:/)
