FS: 1/2" Bodylifts for 3rd gens

Haha I was thinking I would get knocked out by the hi-lift and eff my car in the process. 4x4s and a floor jack sound like a better option.

I only use a hi-lift if I NEED to change a tire on the trail or do some trail repairs.

General rules of thumb for using a hi-lift (I apologize if you already know this but I'll say it anyway):
1. Always have a friend hold the jack upright to keep it from swaying/slipping out
2. Open your door so if the jack falls in, it doesn't dent your truck up
3. Always use it on a stable footing.
4. NEVER go under the truck. Don't put your foot under. Don't put your head in the wheel well. Keep yourself totally clear of the vehicle at all times. Always work with the assumption that your truck is going to fall on you at any moment.
5. Don't use it unless you ABSOLUTELY have to.

Install was easy. Took me about 3 hours all said and done. I did buy longer bolts for peace of mind. All in all a great body lift at a great price. Thanks Alex!

No hi-lift!!! Ha I wasnt sure how i was going to get the clearance with my floor jack but was able to stack some wood pieces and get it there. Much more stable than my hi-lift. Ive used the hi-lifts on the trail in order to get out of some sticky situations but with the intent for it to fail while pushing the car out of the way of a boulder, etc. It was not a very smart idea to begin with.

Anyway thanks again, I have more clearance with my 285's now and not so much rub.

Ramping up my production! My boss is letting me use the lathe at work, so the spacers will be even better looking and much easier for me to make (without breaking my tools)

Should have more spacers cut by thanksgiving.

I'm playing around with the thought of offering a 3/4" kit or maybe 1". I can machine a steering spacer and source bolts, but it'll be expensive.

Where are the rear body mount bolts? i cant find them..

If i jack up the one side will i be able to do one of the two in the front or will i have to jack up the front separately?

You want to lift the body as close to each mount as possible. Don't try to lift the whole side at once. It's stupid.

Also, get on the ground and look up on the outside of the frame to find the bolt location.

No not yet unfortunately. I have a bunch of orders stacking up though.

I have a purchase order from the plastics company, so I mean it SHOULD be there early next week, but I don't know their delivery timeframe or anything as I've never ordered through them.

I will cut the spacers the day the material arrives and I will ship kits soon after, worry ye not. Just give me a little time because the stupid plastics company is taking forever.

Ahh so do one at a time? I have found the three on each side and the two in front back cant find the two in the rear.. So then would i just jack of the front from the center frame and do the front two at the same time?

Nooooooooo.

well yeah i understand the side 6.. maybe im just misunderstanding where the frame is in comparison to the front two.. still anyone have an idea where the rear two are i couldnt find them when i was crawling under there...

96's only have 8 body mounts. I don't remember what year you have.
