Why is this 4Runner for sale?
This 4Runner was purchased by my husband as a second car (mostly for Home Depot hauls) in August from the original owner. Original owner is a middle aged female who drove it for 17 years hence the low miles. Assume it was mostly garaged.

My husband likes my '99 ltd, so when this one came up on CL we grabbed it due to the good condition. Since then circumstances sadly indicate I need a smaller vehicle with better mileage, so my husband is taking over my '99 (it has better cupholders) and we are selling this 1997.

This car runs well (heat is fantastic!) and seems to be in nice shape. I doubt it was taken off road.

We will list it on Craigslist Seattle this evening.

Sorry we didn't have a chance to clean it up. He bought new weather mats for it. Garage advised NO engine steam cleaning due to water getting in elements.

Hello, no sorry no Elocker. I think for this year only limiteds had them.
I would connect you to my husband to discuss the car. As we've had it only a short period of time the former owner did all maintenance.

Plus I doubt this rig has ever seen off road. I know if I hauled it to the east coast someone would snap it up.

I didn't know people took off the running boards. I couldn't get in without them!

I'm afraid I don't know about the rocker panels, but as rust isn't an issue here I assume not.
