Some things I feel are worth a mention:

Front seats are worn and are covered by worn Wet Okoles haha
Steering wheel top is worn and covered
A/C Compressor bearing is getting a little whine to it
Rocker panels were DIY bedlined and probably need some paint TLC or a Line X would be awesome

This car was built to be trail ready but does surprisingly well as a DD. Does absolutely fine driving to the mountains and making day trips to my corporate headquarters. Its qualities have been put to the test and passed with flying colors, and has been maintained to the best of my ability, but has some unavoidable hints of its age such as scratches and dirty carpets. I have absolutely loved working on this car and getting it to where its at. It has been sponsored and featured by several companies. Has an international fan base and is a true head turner. I have masses of references who can attest to the love and attention I've given this over the years. If there is some itch you feel like scratching that I have yet to I can help out with discounts across the off roading world. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. I'm in the market and for what I've seen this is a pretty steep price, albeit a nice 4Runner. What kind of maintenance did you just do for $3500? That's sounds pretty expensive for preventative maintenance.

I'm not hating on it, so don't everyone try to come jump all over me, but I just can't make sense of the price for a 13/14 yr old rig, 240k miles that has been used and abused (as it should be). It's got a lot of nice bits and pieces on it, but total up the new price on that stuff and it's maybe $5k? $6k? And since it's used, the value is realistically 50% of that. So KBB Excellent is $4800 plus throw $3k of value for sound system/offroad gear/wheels/tires and you're at $7800 as is max.

It's a gorgeous rig and I'm sure it's tough to part with it. Hope it goes to a good owner. GLWS.

Any owner with a built 4Runner on this forum has put equal effort into their own rig; that's the labor of love. If you honestly are willing to pay someone for the emotional attachment and care they've put into their belongings, then I have some things I'd like to sell you.

I knew I'd get flamed for my post, but I don't mind at the sake of keeping this forum objective. As I said, no disrespect to you, OP, but I don't see how the numbers add up to $9k.

I'm not saying anyone has to change their price, just saying I don't see how it adds up from an objective, non emotional based perspective.

Not cool dude. This is a nice truck and the list price is a very good starting point. Any negotiations on price should be between REAL potential buyers and the seller. If you don't personally like price just move on.

I will get interior pictures later as I'm about to drive to Raleigh for the day.

Seems like an awful lot of conversation, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Maybe not the best place to hold a debate here since I do send buyers this link but I don't feel like it damages the sell quality.

Preventive maintenance included head gaskets clutch fan rear axle seals upper lower ball joints tie rods sway bar bushings power steering pump radiator. Maybe there is more I haven't gotten my paperwork together because I've been so busy lately.

Back to the price discussion, it is common for a higher list price, and I guess as some have pointed out Ape you have been selling stuff on this site which leads me to believe you already know this.
A quick rundown of stand-out mods, of course you would adjust the prices for being used obviously, but here is a start

Here's the thing....

KBB never has a "Buy it now" option on their site. PLUS they don't have the ability to add in what useful adds that make this truck ONE of a kind.

KBB is JUST A GUIDE. That goes for NADA, Edmunds, etc.

To be frank, with all the stuff done to that rig, I'm shocked he's not asking 10k + for it.

The used car value sites PRESUME THAT THE VEHICLE IS STOCK. If you can't stomach 9k, then move on, this ain't the car for you. I find it offensive that you throw out a KBB value based on a 100% stock vehicle when this thing has probably over 9k in aftermarket goodies, and would likely cost you well over 10k to replicate this rig.

So, in closing, you're getting the 4Runner for free and you're only paying for all the work, blood, sweat, tears, etc.
