I am selling my 1998 Toyota 4Runner with roughly 226,000 miles on it. I am the second owner and have owned the truck for about 3 years, it has been an absolute workhorse for me. Tires are about two years old but have plenty of tread left (rotated religiously). The engine runs flawlessly, transmission shifts great and the interior is in beautiful condition. There is a slight whine that comes from the rear end as the differential was leaking fluid at one point, I have fixed the leak but the whine is still there, does not affect driving at all. I drive 30 miles to and from work each day all highway, the truck runs smoothly at 70-80 MPH and does not drift at all. I have a folder full of maintenance records for the last 60,000 miles, you'll see I changed the oil every 3,500 miles on the dot. There is a check engine light on, it will need an O2 sensor.
I have this on craigslist but figured I'd put it here as well. If someone from here buys it I'll even consider throwing in my 12 inch Alpine Type-R subwoofer and 500 watt Alpine amplifier. I love this truck and will be sad to see it go but I bought an 08 Lexus and it doesn't make sense for a 24-year old to have more than 1 vehicle.
Maintenance within last 6 months
- New battery
- front brakes, rotors and calipers
- exhaust (cat-back)
