Not sure if you realize this but once you open the system which causes the fluid to leak out of the shocks, they are completely useless. Springs can of course be used but the shocks are now scrap metal.

I also have a 2015 Limited and I was wondering how the ICON system compares to XREAS?

Actually, that is not correct. Do some more research before commenting. You absolutely can remove all 4 shocks without losing a drop of fluid from the system, or the shock lines....if you do your homework and know what you are doing. These shocks are fine, the "plumbing" and fluid was retained on the vehicle when we sold the 4Runner. So "if" the new owner ever wishes to replace the XREAS shocks, they can do so. If you don't want to purchase these, then move along. Thanks

Hi! I loved the ICON system. There is definitely a difference, but ICON really shined on the trails in Colorado while still being very comfortable on the road. I got the stage II and was not disappointed.

Yes I'm fully aware there are check valves in the system for safe disassembly. I commend you for being the one in a million that actually may have disassembled the system correctly so it's not destroyed. You also have the priced correctly unlike most that think they're actually worth something.

At first we were scared because we heard horror stories about losing all of the fluid in the system during the removal. We researched and found a post (can't remember where) that walked you through the steps, and when the car is on jack stands with the wheel at full droop it pulls the fluid back into the system past the check valves. We were able to remove the shocks without losing fluid. It was a gamble that paid off. Thanks!

How are the ICONS on the highway? I live west of FTW and have a 30 minute commute, almost all highway. I really look for a smooth ride when picking vehicles or new shocks.

I did a ton of driving for my job (sometimes almost 100 miles a day) and it was excellent on the highway.
