did you zip tie it? also you may need to trim the inside of the inner mount down a bit to make it fit a bit better, let me know how it goes.

I zip tied it and used way too much heat. I will try again. I painted them semi gloss like an idiot.

Huge update! I finally found the perfect textured paint, I had overlooked it because the cap dodnt have the same texture as the actual paint. its the rustoleum truck bed liner that you can get at autozone. it has some particles in it and they are a really close match to the oem texture, infact id say just repaint them all in it to freshen the truck up.

Hey guys - I'm going to add a few posts/pictures of my experience with these. See my last post for pics of the finished product.

One thing to note is that there is some fitting/adjustment to be expected, as not every truck/flare is going to be the same.

I started by installing and making some rough adjustments with a heat gun. For the most part, I concentrated my efforts on the fit to the body (it was a little loose), and the transition from flare to flare cap (the flare cap protruded beyond the flare). Heat the side closest to the tire to flex the flare cap and adjust the fit to the body. In general the process is: Heat the part, then hold in the position you want until it cools and holds it shape. It does take a bit of heat to get this done, but don't go overboard. When adjusting the transition from flare to flare cap, you will leave indents from your hands/fingers in the flare cap. These will need to be filled, but this is NBD - I just used some bondo.

First pic shows initial fitment.

Second pic is how I tackled filling the indents I made from using the heat gun to adjust the transition. Use a spreader/spatula to make the flare cap consistent with the profile of the flare. The bondo will also fill in the ridges from the 3D printing process.

Third pic is after a little sanding/priming.

Don't forget the zip tie - it is necessary to achieve proper alignment (first pic).

Also note: Any good Ace Hardware carries metric fasteners that match the OEM flare bolts. You will need one stock length, and one slightly longer for each flare cap. The second pic shows the OEM bolt (left), and a variety of bolts I purchased from Ace for about $.39 each. (I did not end up using the one on the far right with the fender washer).

See previous posts for prep process. For paint I experimented with what I hand on hand. The closest match to my faded flares was Rustoleum high heat flat black. The second closest match was Krylon fusion flat black (I went with the rustoleum high heat).

thanks for posting! they look great. I found that the bedliner i linked in the previous post gives the closest texture and also its truck bed liner and is abrasion resistant, but since all of our flares are faded the color varies.

Im going to work on the fitment, ill have to find some junkyard flares or something since im going to be moving the edges of my fenders.

side note these wont work with 35s.

I don't think Limiteds need these. If Im not mistaken the Limited flare runs all the way down independent of the running boards.
