That's a horrible deal they offered you! They offered you 3,000-3,500?? Adding the remaining 2k to the other loan is hardly a favor on their end. That's standard for anyone who walks in there still owing money. I would never take that deal! Your super charger alone is worth more that 1k. The worst thing a person can do is rush a sale/buy. Don't cost yourself money.
Yeah, I'll admit, I guess I'm rushing a little.
Dealerships don't care about any aftermarket upgrades like the ones i've put on, they're looking at the kbb or nada or whatever else... and my truck at 14 years old and 191,000 miles... isn't topping any charts in those places...
If there was one place where i thought people could overlook the age of the truck... 14 years... the milage of the truck... 191,000... and the minor things wrong with it, which i suppose include the undercarriage rust... i figured it would be here...
...a group of 4runner enthusiasts who could appreciate the work done to it and have it be something still desirable...
but i watched the thread view count skyrocket. and very view offers come in.
I thought that either I was asking too much... or... that people didn't want it because it was a 2001 with too much of the electronic throttle / traction control system... no rear locking diff like the 99 models have... or that it was automatic and not 5-speed....
...or the simple fact that the newer 4runners with 4.0 liter engines may be more accessible now, and why would someone who is picky about performance want the older 3.4L
I had no idea... but after I recently found a car that I liked... at a dealership who offered me something on it... I'm just kind of over it.
I appreciate concern over trade in values and such... but...
it seems to me, unless i dump money into this myself to fix rust, it's going to be a tough sell even with performance parts.
