I picked up this gray cargo cover from a fresh salvage '99 on Airline Blvd. in Houston. In salvage yards usually one or two of the end caps are broken or the cargo cover is ruined by the workers tossing greasy suspension parts on top of it. Not the case with this one - it is in very good condition. I find these in useable condition in about 4% of the 4Runners I look at in salvage yards. I wiped this one down with water and it looks like what you see here in the photos. There are still some very minor stains and marks that may or may not come out.
Make sure that you have the brackets for the square mounts - the round brackets will not work. 1996-2000 should have square brackets and 2001-2002 should have round brackets. I switched mine out so don't just go by the model year. All 4 tabs that connect to the headrests are there. This covers retracts like it should. Everything is complete with this cargo cover.
I remove the end caps before I ship these because if you ship them fully assembled they will get broken something like 90% of the time. I'll keep the end caps on until it is sold in case a local buyer purchases the cover. Obviously the gray looks dumb against my tan interior, but this is the best way to display these cargo covers.
