I have a 1996 4runner. tan exterior, tan interior. I've owned the truck since 2000. Just turned over 300,000 miles. yes it's rusty but always runs great!!
The trans died yesterday so we decided it's time to get rid of it.
I replaced the interior with newer nicer cloth seats from a 2000.
The rear axle pumpkin rusted through a few years ago so I covered it in JB weld and seemed to work fine. I bought a mint extra rear axle complete from end to end from a forum member a few years ago as a backup. It goes with the truck.
Moonroof stopped working 5 years ago. was leaking a little so silicone caulked it to seal it up.
Rear tailgate and window operate flawlessly.
Tires are about 3 years old and have about 3000 miles on them.
New power steering rack, pump, new front brakes and master cylinder all done 3 years ago. Plugs and wires were done about 1.5 years ago.
The truck has been a great truck but it's time to go. I'd rather sell it to a list member than sell it to the scrap yard. Motor is good, interior is good. body is rough.
Not sure what it's worth. I paid $500 plus shipping for the extra rear axle... How about $500 for everything and you come pick it up.
