Yes...both hot and ground all the way from the driver's side (hot from the engine - painless 7 connection) and ground at the bracket under the switches.
I used 14 gauge stranded. Bought the grab bag of rubber grommets (all from Home Depot) which fit 3/8" perfectly.
Drilled both holes @ 3/8", basically wanted the rear hole just in front of the mount so the wiring would be firmly in place as it ran between the bolts under the rack mount - there is just enough space there. And drilled the front just after the curve but before the center as there is reinforcement in the tubing and wasn't sure I could get the wire cleanly through that section. I just used some thin non-insulated solid wire to fish the wire through. It actually worked out really nice.

LOL...haven't bought the light bar yet...it is amazing how long it takes these shops (retailers) to return email on just the dimensions. I am ready to pull the trigger now...but just sitting on my hands waiting for simple thing like the specs so I can buy the correct size.
I am probably going to get a 30" as the 40" simply will not fit as I only have 38" of space on top since I have a-pillars added to the rack. I bought some a-pillar mounts to test but that takes me to 40" exactly and the bars are about 42" w/mounts - it will also sit too high up for the garage door so need to go low profile.
I can take a pic with my old PIAA fog up there...lol. It will be the cyclops look!

Looked at those but they didn't look like they would work - they were my first thought though. I bought some rigid a-pillar mounts to test and unfortunately the angle isn't 45 degrees (not that big of a deal) so they aren't a great match either. The biggest issue is the a-pillars blocking the path for the led bar.

Yes - have been talking to those guys and really like the H series. If I can get the dimensions I will pull the trigger. Would love a 40" but it will be tough to clear my garage door with the added inches above the rack. Once i get the specs I will measure again. Decision, decisions...that is why I pre-wired...everything is easy now.

Were you able to find any pictures of that Morimoto X.Bar mounted? Looks awesome but I'm somewhat confused as to how tall it is and having trouble envisioning it...
They don't have them for sale yet. But I did find out that they worked with a company called Heretic Studios to design these. Check out their site for a some pictures.
Hopefully by the end of the month TRS will have something.
Edit: Just realized TRS changed the pricing... Boo. 40" bar went from $1000 to $1200

Got it, thanks. Yeah I also saw it went up in price. Looks rad though and I'm a fan of that Heretic's stuff...

IMHO, I personally think the one piece light bar looks better, a bit more intimidating.
Here's a 3rd Gen rack I built for [MENTION=91297]Kraze[/MENTION] that has a 36"? bar.
Making a 40" bar work will depend on the way the light bar mounts, some have large side brackets and some have brackets that kinda tuck under the bar.
Here's one that has mounting brackets beneath the bar..

BUT, I have also been toying with the idea of a 20" bar in the center and two 8-10" bars on the sides, slightly angled out.

Well I set the darn alarm off about every other week with the keys in my pocket, but that s from the panic button. I've never climbed on the truck while it was all locked up, with my luck I could jump on the running boards on it and it wouldn't make a peep. Someone with far more knowledge then me might have a solution but seems like security bolts are what most folks use.
I need to have a chat with my wife to make her feel like she had input on ordering a rack so I can move on to figuring out what lights I want up there anyway, hahaha.
