This is a Cobra XRS R9G radar/laser detector that will:
monitor your speed with GPS
detects red light camera location & alerts you of the exact location
detects all 12 radar/laser bands

The detector and gps unit mounts to your windshield and includes a fused power wire to use for hardwiring it to your car.

The wireless remote control panel mounts anywhere in your car to give you easy control over the radar system.

This Cobra laser detector comes with POP Mode, which quickly detects radar guns. The LaserEye feature of the XRS R9G radar detector avails you with full 360 degree laser signal detection. With the strobe alert this Cobra laser detector alerts you about the presence of an approaching emergency vehicle.

These systems originally sold for over $300. I have removed it from a 4Runner that I recently purchased.

Does it have to be hardwired or is there a plug for it too?

According to the cobra website it came with the wire for hardwiring and it came with a 12v plug as well. The guy I bought the 4R from didn't have the plug with it. You could buy a universal power plug if you wanted to go that route. The hardwire into a cigarette lighter or overhead light is fairly simple. The in line fuse is already attached.

Reason why you're selling? Have any experience using it? Any false alarms?

It was in the 4R when I bought it, but I really don't need it. It does work well. Every time it went off, there was a PO in the area.
