I might be ordering one of these kits in a couple weeks once things settle down. Would this help keep the rear end straight on washboards? Mine likes to slide around when you hit washboards with any sort of speed like the members above me mentioned.

And any idea what it would do to the movement of the driveshaft in relation to the gas tank? Closer, farther, same distance?

Leveling will move the driveshaft closer to the tank. When you lift it pulls the axle off center to the passenger side. Less than 1/2" but enough that it might contact. Beating the shit out of the tank skid solves that for a lot of folks.

My kit should be welded on this Saturday. Then I'll get the 861's and bumper on by next weekend. If you can hold off a week(hopefully) I can give you a better idea if it fixes my rear end hop.

Here's the update I told you I'd give you. I've had these installed for about 10 days now. It's a huge improvement. My ass end used to hop around on washboards a lot. So the first I did after getting them welded on was hit some dirt with my original springs(Toytec 3"). I wanted to be able to do an apples to apples comparison before I put on the OME 861's and the Savage bumper.

I bombed it hard and my ass end stayed firmly planted. No hopping at all. It was incredible not to feel the little hop that I'd gotten so used to and annoyed by. The roll center felt lower and I could hit turns faster while still feeling in control. It was like driving a stock rig even though I'm sitting on 33.6's.

After that I put on the new springs and the bumper and swingouts. I went back to the same dirt and it felt even better. The extra weight of the bumper really kept it glued to the road. I've only been out wheeling once but had no shaft to tank skid contact but I've never had that in the past either. If your worried about that I'd say the trade-off in drivability is well worth having to take a hammer to the skid.

Get them. These are possibly the best mod I've done to my rig yet. Although the Savage bumper is pretty sweet too. lol

Installed both brackets while I installed the rest of my lift (~3" lift). With the way the brackets fit right over the stock panhard mount locations install was a breeze. I can't comment on the difference between having them and not having them on a lifted truck as I installed everything together, but my panhard bar is flat and happy and so am I. Awesome product. Thank you!

Here is RENOSAUCES handy work.. he had a great idea to add a little extra support on the backend of the axle lift bracket

I highly recommend him if you need any welding projects done in the SF Bay Area
