I have five stock alloy wheels with original Dunlops tires.

Four tires have ~23k miles on them. The fifth was the spare and the tire has never hit the road.

looks to be a 265 70 17, the stock size and stock tire on a FJ cruiser

so they might be fj rims? dont they have a different backspace or offset then 4runner rims?

thats an FJ cruiser rim, to my knowledge they never came on 4runners, i dont know the specs on that wheel so i cant comment on that, but i know that wheel will bolt up to your 4runner(at least the one in your profile picture.

Yes, they are FJ cruiser rims. I forgot to add that when I copied the info from my post on the FJ forum.

Tire size is 265/70/17.

I had these mounted on my 98 4Runner for a while after I swapped my Duratracs to the FJ.


Here's my understanding, as I've seen multiple backspacing numbers listed for both wheels: I think they do have slightly more backspacing than a stock 3rd gen wheel. The 265/70/17 sized tires fit on my 4Runner, but going up to a 285 would cause the tire to contact the upper control arm. Unless you run spacers. I'm not as familiar with 4th gen runners, so I won't comment on those.

I'm running these wheels on my 96 SR5 with 285/70/17's without spacers and have no rubbing issues on the upper control arm.
