In my opinion, the absolute rarest of the rare JDM parts. JDM Hilux Surf field monitor unit in OAK. In my 5 years on this forum, this part has been talked about like Bigfoot, or Nessie, mythical but not proven. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is unicorn rare.

This is a sunroof model, and it comes with the temp sensor. Did I mention it was oak?

Yes, JDM FMU's are available on ebay in moon mist almost every day of the year. There's currently one non-sunroof moon mist on there for $320 shipped. Yes, I'm aware peeps rattle can their moon mist FMU's with a comparable tan spray. The buyer of this item will likely be a connoisseur of rare jdm parts, not a bargain hunter.

$400. Caveat/Admission/Full Disclosure, the one issue, is that the tiny trim piece that hugs the rear view mirror is moon mist, not oak. The mismatch is unnoticeable to the naked eye, it's mashed up against the windshield. Only you will no it's mis-matched. However, that said, the same trim piece on your current Oak interior, might be a direct fit. See Pictures. Ask Questions. Enjoy the view.

Note: I've received several questions regarding the "working condition" of this FMU. I can 100% honestly say I have never installed it personally, so I can't vouch for it working with my own personal eyes. But, I can say that when I purchased it off eBay it was in working order - and I've never heard of anyone buying a FMU direct from Japan that did not work. I will try to get the wiring diagram figured out and see if I can bench test the screen in the house, and if so, post some pictures. Thursday bump

So I've not been reading up too much lately so I apologize for being lazy on this but do you have a link to a write up on installing it and does it have a separate temp sensor that is supposed to be mounted in the bumper area somewhere?
