Did you ever figure out a hack to wire the sound in directly?

I've always had bad luck with FM transmitters.

I've always had bad luck with FM transmitters.

It works but honestly the Ipad speakers are loud enough. So we just run the sound from the ipad. I did hook up an aux 1/8 jack to rca that ran to the aux inputs on the back of the head unit.
