Fuel Injectors 12-hole high performance

I am thinking of getting these 12-hole fuel injectors. They claim to use oem seals. Is this BS? I asked them if they could show me proof and I am still waiting for their reply. I also feel that having 12- holes would cause your car to get a CEL.

Have heard there is no perceptible difference with the 12-hole injectors, although the sales pitch seems to have some merit. I think xtremwheelr on here has tried them.
What do you mean by "gut out your intake manifold"? Port it? I think the best thing you can do is upgrade your intake manifold to the black plastic one, it has built in performance from Toyota, again xtremwheeler can vouch for this.

I don't like plastic. Are you talking about the 2005-09 V8 intake manifold? Yes I am talking about porting out the intake manifold. I want to do it to the oem intake manifold because I want it to look very stock. These pictures are from a Mazda Miata. I want to do the same to my V8 4Runner but would it adversely affect the performance of the car like make it run too lean? Top pic is after it was ported out and the bottom is when it was stock. I have Doug Thorley headers.

Who is the best fuel injector rebuilder out there for the 4Runner?
Also has anyone on here ever used an oil catch can for the 4Runner? It's suppose to make the intake more clean by collecting the oil in the catch can instead of allowing it to go into your intake. Notice how in the bottom picture the stock manifold has oil residue inside

Porting an intake should be done by a professional who can monitor the air flow cfm and match the ports, etc. If you're going to try and put more air in you should install headers too to get the air out too.

I've never heard of this done on the 2UZ, while not to imply it hasn't been. However, the plastic late model intake manifold has variable length intake runners which give better power through the entire RPM band with a vacuum operated valve system.

It's hard to predict the flow characteristics once the intake is carved up, as rdruss pointed out. The late model plastic intake is a cheap, easy, bolt-on upgrade that's commonly done.

Lots of these motors have 300,000 miles with that intake on it and the plastic intake is not an issue. For the ease of install and the benefit of the dual length runners, it's wins across the board. Add to that it's lighter than the early model intake. It's hard to go wrong with it.

I respect breaking new ground by experimenting, though.

I am always experimenting and tinkering around with things. My initial intent was to get my starter replaced with a new one as one of those preventative maintenance thing. I figured since I have to take the intake manifold out in order to get to the starter I might as well do badass things to the intake manifold like port it out and it get nicely polished. I am getting my two valve covers powder-coated in glossy black with two big red and white stripes going diagonally across each valve cover so it can have that TRD color scheme. I am keeping the oem airbox because I want to use the oem air filter to trap the most dust. But I got Doug Thorley headers with a pair of primary high-flow cats.

I am keeping the oem rear muffler becuase I don't want the car to sound too riff-raff and trashy. Also has anyone on here ever tried an oil catch can and did they get good results?

I have recently installed the aFe intake, and have my OEM intake airbox with 330000km on it sitting in a box. I'll have a gander inside it for oil but I don't recall seeing anything in the hoses that would make me think a catch can is required. I don't think it would hurt anything to have one.
