Fuel Prices...wow, it has gone up!

About $3.29/gal here. It was $3.09 about a month ago.

SCREW GAS SPECULATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sniper:

So we can stop or slow down our buying of food? Or refined petroleum products? Or transportation related distillates?

The US consumer cant control the USDX, and if the USD is worth less, the less crude oil it buys. The motoring consumer has very little affect on the crude oil price and its incredibly naive to think that we do. Just by nature of our suburban society we can only downscale our consumption so much.

its not the value of the us dollar that is causing these huge fluxes in price because they aren't proportianate. It's speculative trading and manipulation by opec

Unleaded regular is a "low" of $3.19 at Wawa - and up to $3.25 or so at BP, Shell, Chevron, Exxon, etc., etc. The last holdout was a 7-11 store "in the hood" that was selling it for $2.93 on Tuesday, $3.05 on Wednesday and finally $3.15 yesterday.

Diesel fuel is $3.45 to $3.75, depending upon where you go. Our diesel trucks at work average 6 to 8 miles per gallon, so it will get interesting to see if the boss starts to grumble in the coming weeks.

Since most everything comes via truck, train or ship (all of which use diesel fuel), we are on the cusp of some severe price increases for everyday goods.

P.S. $75 to fill my Silverado - and it was not even empty! My Sentra was still $29 from 1/8 of a tank showing on the gauge. Psshht!!

Jeff, i was hoping that if diesel stabilizes, then product (food, etc.) prices won't go up too miuch.

Last time I filled up it was just short of $70. A few days ago (didnt fill up) gas was at $3.29 for 87.

Just paid $3.90 for 40 Cetane Diesel, it rose another $.20 again this week, this a freakin brutal. I'm gonna have to just trade cars with my dad at this point. But honestly i knew this was coming, i don't see how everyone on here is so shocked at about how high prices are, it was like a little over 2 years ago that it was $4.50 a gallon, is our memory that short term?

$3.79 for 87, $3.93 for 91.. and worse, on the way to the gym.. there was a shell station along the way and it was asking $4.09 for 91..

$3.49 for 87 here in Northern Ky. Cost me $65 to fill er up yesterday. Only good thing is my DD is a little 4cyl that gets 35 mpg
