Fuel Prices...wow, it has gone up!

My commute will be dropping from 20 miles round trip to less than 8 miles so that's going to save me about 250 miles a month so that'll knock my fillups down to about 2 a month so my yearly mileage will be solidly under 5000 miles so that will help me plus I can drive the wife's car a couple of days a week.
Right now gas is about $3.10 for regular right now so it's not as bad as some places.

Southern Oregon is usually higher I thought, I'm in Eugene and its $3.29 for regular!

Quoting my own post almost 2 months to the day and gas is now $3.73 a gallon. Almost $.50 higher in two months.

$3.38 a gallon. I won't be too worried until it hits 4 dollars. Then it might be time to switch up and drive the wife's Civic to work.

Just filled up at 3.58 a gallon. Not too bad of an increase.

At Costco yesterday, it was $3.75 for 87 and $3.95 for 91 but over at Chevron (across the street) was $4.05 for 91 (paid with cash) $4.15 (with credit cart) and $4.17 for diesel.

lol did you notice how jap cars have lock on their filler door but american cars gas door just flip open

I've been reading up on it and the ones that don't have locks typically have layers of baffle board to prevent anything from going into the tanks.

I just remember working at uhaul a few years back when fuel prices first started going up and people would come over night and siphon from the trucks on the lot being that there were so many out there.

Yep -5th gen is the same - last time gas prices got this high there were cases of people going into the fuel tank from underneath with a drill ...

Sadly enough that's what it's come to here. It's been on local news where people just drill right into it not only stealing gas but ruining the tank too.

What sucks is a lot of gas tanks are plastic, fiberglass or some other composite material that's not metal. I wish they still use metal tanks and their drill bit will create a spark. :flamethrwoer2:

Easier to repair too if it didnt light on fire.
