No I did Not Pump and Fuel with my phone in Hand. Yes Super it was.

I even leave my car running while talking on the phone and pumping gas.

Myth busters proved it was the static electricity getting in and out of your car that causes the explosions.

Anyone else seen this? The last couple of times getting gas the guy at the pump across from me was smoking while pumping gas????

WTF???? Are people just that F-in stupid????

anyway, gas should be that cheap. But that is a whole different topic.

That's odd that you can get 91, I've never seen that. The only options we have around here are 87, 89, and 93 octane (years ago Sunoco also offered 86).

Always wondered why manufacturers would specify 91 octane when it isn't available, but I guess it is in some places!

It has to do with the capabilities of the refinery, where the oil comes from, costs of refining into higher octane... As well as environmental laws, regulations, blah, blah, blah...I could go further into detail about it, but its useless knowledge.

This blew my mind in D.C. last summer when i came across this pump.

I run into 91 pretty regularly around here.

Last time I drove through Nevada they had a lot of 85 octane.

OP: That's awesome. I was stoked just to see $1.99 here...

Wow! Around here the rewards are capped at 10 cents a gallon. Why would you waste your money on super?

90 Cents off a gallon I could Not resist for .89...Just to say I filled up my tank with Good Gas for $17. For 18.909 gallons. Always had to Use 91+ in My Old 90 Grand Prix Turbo. That car Sucked. Was Not long ago it was over $4 a gallon for regular unleaded and that was $75-80 For the same amount of Gas. Plus the added 3.14 HP increase made me Smile. :eyebrows:

To be honest there is an improvement in power and mileage I've noticed on premium.

Me too. Ive been getting about 2mpg (~14-15 before ~16-17 after) more since going from mid grade to premium. I havent done the math to figure out if its worth the extra few cents but at $1.79 for it I figured why not.

Up here in PA, if you get enough Giant rewards points you can get gas for this cheap and cheaper...I think free is the only restriction, meaning you cant get free gas, but damn near close...

As far as running better on 93, I want to see proof. This debate has been going on for years. Whatever the manufacturer has tuned it for is all you need, the rest is just wasted.

Haha, here in Oklahoma gas was $1.08 last week NORMAL prices, no discounts or rewards! Also, the highest octane we have here is 91. NO 93 available at all in Oklahoma.

If I hadn't just got a new phone and wiped my old one I could show you proof. But scouts honor I was getting between 14 and 15 mpg on med grade and after about 3 tanks of premium Im now getting between 16 and my highest is 17.5.

The owner's manual states premium is preferred.
