full REAR mounted LED lightbar pointed backwards.. whats the point?

Hey all,
While driving home from work this evening I was behind a white H2 with a beautiful LED light bar mounted on the roof- aimed toward the car behind him- which was me. I Have seen some lights turned around so not to get hit by branches, rocks, road debris.. it was then I then noticed that it had been hard wired into the roof.

I thought ok... we all tow something at one time or another and everyone has seen cheap white lights wired up so we can see when hitching up at night. That was not the case here.. The Bar was mounted just forward of where the roof stops.. so if they were aimed down it would have lit up the top of the roof.

I have already made this post longer than it was supposed to be... I don't think someone would wire up a $500 light bar to blind the guy behind him.

but it IS NY... ANY IDEAS?

I've wondered the same about massive rear mounted lightbars, a single 6" square LED flood provides more than enough light for me to back up or work in.

yeah guess so.... judging by the way they were mounted maybe if they were in a trail and they wanted people to know where they were or how far ahead .. I dunno .

Maybe backing up with a trailer with dark tinted windows or rock crawling vehicles usually run rear facing LEDS.

~To light up the way behind them (though it sounds like they mounted it too far back and so they may or may not effectively light stuff up behind them.)

Lets throw in a M2 Browning .50 HMG and a few thousand rounds of Mk 211 Mod 0 HEIAP (High-Explosive Incendiary-Armor-Piercing), because come on... who doesn't love a little tungsten core penetration with their firey explosions! :laser:

I've found that H2's and Pickup trucks have so much shit on them that are only for looks. For example, I live in vegas for 8 years, just moved to Utah June 1st. There are so many pickup trucks with 6 inch lifts, Rigids around the entire vehicle, winches that never have been turned on etc... The first year I moved there it snowed about 4 inches and it stuck. Lining the streets were most of those pickup trucks because they were all 2 wheel drive and couldn't do shit in the snow. I was in my 4Runner just being a dick driving around town pointing my finger at everybody and laughing.

What!? Mentally unstable and fairly insane people can't legally obtain High-Explosive Incendiary/Armor Piercing ammunition for their own personal enjoyment!? What has this country come to?! This is an outrage! How dare the government squash my twisted sense of fun because I may take out a few of my least favorite co-worker's engine blocks, this is just another example of the nanny state taking away an honest psychopath's fun time! :doh:

This is something I need. Since I manage to hit anything and everything when I back up on a trail. Two blown windows in two weeks in August (#1 Fordyce and #2 an overhanging branch in a gnarly creek bed) and I'm on my second rear hatch...looking for a third hatch again.

Except Mr. Hummergiver prob has no use at all for the thing, and as Kevin said, nonfunctional junk box.

That light bar is a FCUK you light. I know mine that are mounted in my bumper are. a useful application would be that a hole that likes to drive with one low beam out and has the high beams on because idiot cant see with one headlight. so idiot blinds everyone else. I just have 5% tint over my factory tint so i dont care hahaha

I had a led 3x3 cube mounted on the back of my BajaRack. Was awesome when backing up or when setting up the tent at night. Didn't get used a lot, but it was sure handy.
