Full size spare and panhard bar spacing question....

Sorry guys. I know there are theeads talking about this but don't have time to search. We are packing up to head out of town and i just realized that i didn't have my full size spare on, because i have been waiting on my fabricator. Anyway, i have deflated it and hoisted it up under the truck but was only able to get about 1/4" gap between it and the panhard bar. We will just be on the road but wanted to see if that would be enough. Please chime in. Thanks

I would think that will be ok, bar should just move up and down. Even if it rubbed, it would be very very minimal

thanks. I feel like 1/4" should be enough. I just wasn't sure home much forward to back motion there was on the bar. I know it mostly is just up and down but with the bushings i am sure there is a little movement. As i told [MENTION=50591]gaterose[/MENTION]....it wasn't pretty and i just about gave myself a hernia....lol. I had both feet on the axle, pulling the tire backwards with my left hand and trying to turn the crank with my right....HAHAHA!

That'll be fine. I've had mine deflated a bit like that for the past 25k miles with a similar 1/4" clearance. No issue at all. Just don't forget to bring the compressor haha!

Yep, already got it in there. That would suck!....lol
