I picked up this 07 SR5 almost 3 weeks ago. It had 155k miles and one owner. The toyota hitch cover was still brand new and wrapped in the glove box! It is 2wd, but I have plans to convert it to 4wd using the FJ Transfer case and following Wyatt's thread if any of you are familiar with it. I come from cars and currently have another project to finish before I start buying things for the truck other than tires and other smaller things for now.

I found an amazing deal I couldn't pass on some parts for the 4wd conversion all with only 122k miles! Since I had purchased it, I've gone on several trail trips to find out what I truly need while being 2wd for now. So far, I've only gotten stuck in a really bad wash. This is by far one of my best purchases!

Brakes/Rotors
Steering Rack
Front Diff
Axles(Needs axle boots)
Drive Shafts
And other miscellaneous things

Also removed my running boards and plasti dipped my wheels black the other day, what a difference.

Thanks man! I really don't think it should be terrible. I've done more work to my car than this. The biggest thing is deciding what I want to do with the FJ 4wd levers, there's a couple of ways you can do it. My goal for now is to gather all of the parts for the conversion at least towards the end of the year. That will give me enough time to find the best deals possible. It seems as though many are either scared or think it's going to cost way too much to do this conversion. It would if you were having a shop do it of course, but it's expensive to have a shop do pretty much anything...

No kidding! I didn't have any time in the near future to put my new control arms on and some other stuff, so I had a local shop do it for me. Charged me $400 in labor!

Oh I bet! The average shop rate is about $100 an hour.
