Future 4Runner w/ 4banger? I'm WORRIED!

My guess is a turbo 4 banger runner to replace the 6 cyl. Look at any German cars lately, BMW does not offer a single naturally aspirated engine in its 20+ car line up. To meet peoples needs of power and Mpg, turbo is the only way to achieve both of these things. And America is just late to the party. Small 4 cylinder turbos have been the best option in japan and other countries for decades. It's just the good ol merica that doesent want small engines diesel or not.

It's not that Murrikans don't want small engines, it's that Murrikans want big trucks. The current 4Runner is too big for any production four cylinder gas engine to reasonably handle, so folks won't buy it, so Toyota won't sell it.
