Is the gobi rack custom or were the dimensions pretty close with the 10-13s?

Im hoping its the same. i ordered it for a 2013 because i didn't want to hear " it wasn't going to fit"
i will be installing it later this afternoon. Ladder fit perfect so i'm sure i won't have problems with the rack.

Ordered a set of kickout BudBuilts this morning too. i wasn't happy with the amount of protection the OPOR sliders provided (my preference). i like to use my sliders for steps to reach my rack contents.
I requested (from Bud) that they legs from frame to slider be extended an extra inch just to be on the safer side. looking forward to checking out his product.
**if anyone is interested in the OPOR sliders LineX'd with a weeks worth of driving, PM me. i prefer to sell locally but will have a box (from buds sliders) to ship at your expense. **

The SPod I have came off my FJ and I mounted it in the same location as the FJ. I've seen some 5thgen 4R's with it in that space between the brake master cylinder and the fuse box and it looks good.

Are you sure you need to extend them out even further? I have the bumpouts too and there is more than enough room to step on the bumpout portion to reach the roof rack stuff. Same goes for the front, I never felt like I was not able to plant my foot firmly.
If you kick it out too far, you might end up having trouble getting in and out w/o hitting your leg on the slider...but if you are used to just stepping up and down on the slider then that's not an issue.
Great purchase though, you're gonna love them, everything bud makes is well thought out and top notch!

I considered the extra inch making them stick out more than necessary, but i think the extra footprint would be worth it in the end. My FJ had all pro kick outs and they stuck out quite a bit more than the budbuilts I've seen (in photos) for the 4R's. it does suck when wearing slacks but i'll manage.

Yay Trasharoo! Always good to see people taking their trash out of the trail. Can't wait to get my spare tire carrier so I can put mine on it instead of throwing it in the back.
Rear Springs?
I assume you also used the rear springs from your FJ but haven't mentioned what those might be. I have a set of Toytecs ready to go in once my Kings arrive, so curious what your running.
This is our 2nd fifth gen. our 2010 had Bilstiens and Eibach/Toytechs set at 3"of lift with 285 duratracs. Now that we are in a stock 14' I'm really loving the ride again. Trying to strike a good balance for a daily driver.

I am using a custom rear coil from CSS (coil spring specialties http://www.coilsprings.com) with the same specs as an icon 2" rear coil but in a 1" lift (over sock). I don't really care for rakes and the 2" icons made me have to raise the front end KINGS more than they recommended. The 1" lift is perfect.

Call Tustin Toyota or email [email protected] as they appear to have some of the better prices for the Kings.
I was just looking but ended up with Icons as I couldn't source anything for the next three weeks (including Kings) as everyone is out of stock and the manufacturers (Icon, King, Fox, etc...) are only making to order (2-3 week process). I got lucky hitting everyone up and sourced the front and rears from different folks and even had to be a little creative to make the fronts work. Note that this was all for the remote resi versions - if you want non-remote resi you may have better luck.

Broke her in at a local OHV this weekend. I was concerned about the stiffness on road with KDSS but it rode just was well as my FJ in the washes at about 50mph. I am happy and looking forward to all the adventures to come.

Need to address the occasional power loss to the Rigid led bar. I probably need to run heavier gauge wire since its running to the back from an Spod through the roof then back up to the front.

Got a new 10" E2 this afternoon. They changed the bodies over the regular E series and I think it's a great improvement.
New thread holes in the bottom of the body is going to be a fantastic theft deterrent for bumper mounting!
