Nah, took a look at it, and although it does look slightly better in person I couldn't get over that hideous front end, this is literally the only good viewing angle. Also, I'm 6'4 230, they didn't in any way design that for a human with my dimensions.

Love the color combo.
I love / hated my M series. I loved the look, feel, sound, etc, but issues with power hard top, turbos and transmission.
I only had 15k miles when I traded. Last Year, I traded down for a new 2018 T4R ORP and nearly new MX5 Club.
I’ve heard the 2017/18are a bit better. Might have to try again in future.

100% agree... not counting that with BMW you need to remember well known “puzzle”:

Yeah they straightened things out with the addition of the competition pkg. This only had 5.5k miles on it, and a whole lotta warranty left haha

I was a long time BMW owner myself. Last year I bought a 4runner TRD pro and an MX-5 club as well. Great combination for all conditions.

Ya, the Supra is TIGHT inside. I'm only 5'11, 185lbs and I felt squeezed in there. To add, even if you bought this instead of the Beamer, you'd still be buying a beamer...might as well wear the BMW badge. The Supra ain't a Toyota...it's a BMW.

100% truth. The supra team really missed the mark. The new vette, Tesla, and a slew of other cars already out perform it. Id say only the clueless, or the die-hard supra fans would buy it. But the die-hards don't think its a supra either. Curious to see how long it'll be before its redesigned.

Of the recent re-releases of the iconic Japanese supercars, the Supra is the one to watch for its value, aftermarket performance and mod-ability. Once the die hards get past the BMW thing, they'll see that the performance and philosophy of the Supra is still intact and similar to the previous generation.
The stock performance numbers was never what the Supra was about. From the factory, it is not impressive but it is a great base platform to modify. The only Japanese supercar that wasn't/isn't that way is the NSX and that still rings true with the current generation.
Some tuners already have the new Supra in the low 10s and will crack 9s soon. It's no surprise the various teardowns have revealed the bottom end is as stout as the 1/2JZ, or if we want to go there, the other BMW inline 6's. :snacker:
I get that some don't see it that way but sometimes have to appreciate it for what it is. Personally, this first year lineup is boring. Hopefully they'll release some limited edition models and colors in the future.

The engine/performance is by no means in question, for me at least. The collaboration made sense for toyota from a $$ standpoint because utilizing the BMW engine/drivetrain kept the price point way down as well. My biggest gripe about it is how small the thing is, and how just catastrophically hideous it looks!
I love toyota, have always loved BMW, think I got the best of both worlds to be honest...despite the stereotypes attached to being an M3 driver haha
