Gas Cover not fully closing

Has anyone ever dealt with their t4r gas cap cover not fully shutting
after fueling up? mine has the non-hinged edge protruding about .25"+ I was thinking of getting a new assembly or spring but wouldnt mind saving
the $45 if i can. in searching most threads have been for gas caps not opening - mine is the opposite.

My shirt snagged on the latch and bent it once when I was refueling. You can fiddle with bending it different ways, that worked for me.

Damn,this literally happened to me last week! Now I have to bend the door towards me just a bit before shutting and it'll click right in.
