I have a 1990 Toyota 4Runner. It has the v6 and it is 4wd. Here is my issue. I have a fuel leak. I dropped the tank tonight. I know the problem. The piece coming out of the fuel tank that connects to the fuel pump has 2 lines coming out of it. Those lines are rusted with holes in it. Also the line coming out that is connected to the frame, the bigger line also is rusted. Here is my problem, I can not find that part. It doesn't come with the fuel pump or I would just buy a fuel pump. I am having problems find it. Also I am thinking about doing away with the metal lines all together and run braided hose all the way. But I need the part that connects to the fuel pump that has those 2 lines coming out of it. Does anyone know where or is there something else I can do? Thanks for your help.

You may have to buy a piece of blank tubing and make new ones with compression flares.

You need to go to a dealer or a recycler to get the pump hanger. You could make one but I don't think it's worth the trouble. They will also have the high-pressure flex line that connects to the metric steel fuel line that runs along the frame. Braided may be a good option if rust is a problem where you live but you will need a bunch of conversion fittings and you still need to replace the pump holder.
While you're in there, check the inside of the frame rail between the fuel tank and where it goes over the rear axle. This is a prime rust spot. Clean it up and protect it if you have to.

Or A person can get very creative. My fix:
First tank the fuel pump hanger completely out of the fuel tank.
Second remove the fuel pump.
Third clip the tubes off as close as possible to the plate itself.
Fourth remove all the rust from the plate.
Fifth drill out the previously cut tubes.
One hole is 1/4 and the other is 5/16.
Sixth buy new metal lines that r the same size as the others.
Seventh bend the new tubes the same way as toyota did.
Eighth I used Alumanaweld and brazed the new lines in.
Finally paint the plate and reinstall.
So far so good.
