Gas Milage

Hey there. New to this so bear with me.
I need some help on a gas milage issue. First off let me tell you what I got and what I have done. 2000 4runner limited 3.4L 4inch lift with 33inch mud tires. Well I recently got the yoter about 5 months ago and when I got it I was getting about 16 mpg which I thought was decent. Added a can of seafoam to clean it out a little then the next tank was horrible. I went down to about 10 mpg so I replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter, airfilter, pvc and added a flow master. That helped a little and got up to about 12.5 mpg. Then changed the forward O2 sensor and nothing changed. Now I am stumped. Any ideas????

I also know about the gauges being messed up so thats not how I calculate my milage.

Thanks much.

What areas did you add the Seafoam to?

Are you taking into account that your odometer is now off due to the 33's? You're recording mileage slower than you're accumulating it. So when your showing say 250 miles, you've actually gone 275 miles. (just using these numbers as an example)

suggest scroll to top of page .. click in the Google search field ... type 'MPG' ... click search button.

read through the 100+ MPG threads (getting about 5 per week it seems)

BE MERRY.

Thanks for the posts. As for the seafoam I only used it in the gas tank. Im not sure how off the bigger tires make the odometer but I didnt figure that it would be that much. What stumps me the most is that I was getting decent gas milage when I got the 4runner but then all of a sudden it went south. Thats the issure that I am trying to figure out. I read about cleaning the MAF and replacing the TPS but the yota is running great. No studdering or hesitation whats so ever. It does have a delay when I cold start it. It takes a couple seconds to actually kick over. And when it does it smells like its burning rich. I know it will until it warms up but this smells a little more than normal.
