I work in the tv/film industry in Hollywood - about 80 plus hours a week. I handle and fix problems all day at work.. the LAST thing I want to do is come home on my one day off and fix a car that I just bought 2 weeks ago.
You country boys :cowboy: have a lot more time on your hands than I do.

Well it looks like the past three posters are from Palos Verdes, Sacramento and Redondo Beach... Not QUITE country boys :lmao:
...and for what it is worth, in the time it takes you to log on and post a response, you could walk out to the car pull two fuses and put them back. It literally takes a few minutes at most.

From the sounds of it you dont really want the forum's help, it would take literally 2 minutes to pull the fuses, and i'm pretty sure no one here wants or needs to be "talked down" to like they are children, no one cares that you work in tv 80 hours a week man, try what the forum says....... If you dont want try our suggestions then dont ask, go trade your off road capable suv in for a front wheel drive based car one and kindly leave this forum.
I've been watching you cry about your gas mileage for two posts now and yet have not seen anything proactive done about it from your stand point.
Sorry if its harsh or i took what i read wrong......its just my opinion thoush.

His first couple posts on this forum involve name calling and pissing off a lot of people on the 5th gen thread, anyone that comes on here and results in a thread being locked says a lot about a persons maturity and juvenile behavior. Frankly, I think his computations about gas mileage are questionable. How many threads did he create about his poor mileage? I dont even want to count.:wow:

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I test drove a 5th gen yesterday and it had the interior if a scion and the pickup of a prius so what. Car manufacturers take the cheap road all of the time to save a few bucks. Good handling but no torque.
So how do you pull the plugs out? Do I put new ones in?

Ok, I've heard enough. This "expletive" of a person comes on here asking for some help, which MANY do and he dismisses all of it............then, when some suggest he get something else, he begins to bordline insult them. To top it off, he said in one of his threads that he'll take it to the dealership anyway............................ my question is...................why did he come here in the first place?

Again, why should I do the work when I just bought it? It has a problem. I'm just trying to figure it out buddy for when I go back to the dealership. I just want to get the same gas mileage that the rest of you get and changing the air filter when it was just changed 2 weeks ago isnt going to help.

If you want to try the fuse trick here goes:
1) Open the hood. Pull the latch next to the gas cap release. Next push up on the secondary hood latch as shown below.
2) Remove the fuse cover by pushing in on the plastic latch. My finger is on the latch in the photo. The lid will release than it will lift right off.
3) Using the tool which "lives" in the fuse block remove the two fuses for 3 minutes or so. Then replace the fuses and cover. Turn the key to on, wait 5-10seconds and then engage the starter. That's it! The other thing is make sure the tires are serviced 32-35psi.
Thread ended. It's going to get ugly, I can tell.
