I have an 88 with a 3.0 auto. and 261k on the clock.
I get between 18.5 and 19.5 MPG consistently. I live outside of Albuquerque so I do not do a lot of true city driving.

Yeah its way low. I have a 94 5spd with 260k miles and I can get as high as 22mpg on highways and as high as 18 around town if I drive conservativly.

My 2nd gen with 3 slow and automatic 4x4 gave me 16 MPG The 3.0 v6 is not great on power or fuel 12 to 16 MPG is the norm 18 to 22 is a gift from the Toyota god LOL.

Mt 1st gen 22re 5 speed gave me 20 MPG all day long:trophy:

i changed the thermostat.. i will see if it makes a difference this next couple of days...
anyone else got any suggestions?
Thanks

I was getting about 12 when I first got my 94 3.0. After changing the fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, all fluids, plugs and wires, new tires and alignment, I am getting anywhere from 16-19 depending on where I'm driving. Also, I've noticed in my vehicle that E10 ethanol gas really hurts my mileage, so I just avoid those gas stations now.

88 3.slow v6 on 33s
i get 12 mpg but mine smells of gas from a block away lol. im gonna clean out the injectors and replace the tps whatever is cheaper first.

I'm getting 13-14 mpg, mixed driving (drive once a week except in winter)
It seems to run fine. EPA rating is 12/15 (corrected).
Maybe I'll try the new air & fuel filter, spark plug thing.

Tune up is a good place to start. I've also heard a lot about the Throttle Position Sensor making a big difference on MPG if it's out of adjustment.
