Gas Prices 3/9

89: $3.55

I filled up on Tuesday with Shell V-power like I usually do. The bill was $75.00. I am usually accustomed to paying a little higher because I like the V-power gas, but this is jsut outrageous. I got my 4Runner about 4 months ago and I was usually paying about $57-$60 per fill up.

Drove to Gorda (remote area of california coastline) today to check the surf.

Price for gas was $5.21/gallon!!!

$3.49 at Mobil

...I have already started pricing Camry's...its a damn shame one has to trade in a vehicle because they can't pay for gas. Between the truck payment and gas I am paying almost $750/month...utterly ridiculious

I just picked up a 98 4cyl Cavalier for $800, and it passed NY inspection. I'm only going to use that for work, no way in hell will I give up my 4runner! I'll drive a beater before I do!

Haha the session is always great there.

Luckily, I fill up in Cambria where it's only 4.25/gallon or so.

Gasoline seems to go up about 2 cents every day now.

Wawa, usually the cheapest, is now $3.17 for unleaded regular. Diesel is over $3.80 and it costs over $1000 to fill up a big rig!

VA is usually one of the 'cheaper' states in which to buy fuel, but none of it is what I would call 'cheap' at all.

Sounds like fuel prices in VA are playing catchup with some of the surrounding markets.
Fuel prices here Eastern Pennsylvania do not appear to rise each day but when they do it is typically 4-6 cents per gallon per increase.
Once or twice in the last few weeks we did have two increases in less than 24 hours.

As of last night, gas prices in my area were $3.299/$3.399/$3.599. Diesel Prices were $4.199.
FYI, the price spread between Unleaded Regular and Diesel is at an all time high of 90 cents/gallon.
If that spread continues to widen it may become more difficult to justify purchasing a diesel powered vehicle based on "fuel savings".

Just paid $3.03 for a gallon here in central Massachusetts. Highest I have seen on my commute and around town was $3.23 for the cheap stuff which is all I care about because that is all I use.

Ya know, the kicker of it is this freaking Ethanol shyte.

Now I may be a very conservative fellow, but I still wish to take care of the environment, and I think this Ethanol stuff does nothing but fatten farming company wallets, decreases overall gas mileage, increase the cost of gas (and taxes), and is at the very most only equal to the environmental effects of pure dino juice.

Gas was OK before, but ever since this crap has been pushed through the gas prices are even more ridiculous. Add to that the fact that every state seems to have its own formulations of gasoline with required additives that are equally horrific (environmentally speaking) it makes gasoline production more difficult, specialized, and costly - so we all pay more. Frankly, 1 type of freaking gas is OK if it is done properly.

Diesel is $4.27/gal here
