Gauging interest in UCA group buy

The biggest thing I'm looking for with after market uca's is some caster. I've had a problem keeping my rig aligned and I need to replace existing bushings and ball joints.

Other advantages are more travel and more clearance for your tire and coil spring.
 
TC UCAs

I would definitely be in on getting the Total Chaos UCAs. Its been said but too many negative reviews on the LR UCAs.
 
First post updated. Looks like we've got 11 so that would qualify for the 15% allpro discount if that is what everyone wants, but I'd still like to see what I hear back from other places.

I didn't get a chance to call the truck shop in Escondido about the Built Right arms yesterday. My afternoon got real busy real quick. I should be able to on monday morning.

I'm down with the AllPro's. Something to think about as well would be to start a thread on Tacoma World or Toyota120 to get some more people. I'll talk with a couple local guys that might be interested in joining. Another thing to consider would be posting up in the 4rd and 5th Gen sections. Especially is you go with a company like AllPro since they make them for other models as well.

I thought about putting it in other forms but I first wanted to see if people were interested enough to get a GB going. I'm fine posing it up everywhere once we have a set deal someplace. Would posting it before that have other advantages to posting on other threads now?
 
yeah the more involved, the bigger the discount should be. if company X commits to 10% for 10 buyers, and 15% for 15 buyers and 20% for 20 buyers... the more the merrier. which is why the other members keep hitting on camburg and total chaos to see if they'd be willing to work with us.

I seriously doubt you'll be able to find someone give more than 15% off. Most will do 15% and free shipping if you get so many people.

I see allpro responded but the majority of the people chiming in are interested in total chaos or camburg. I'd prefer icon, camburg, or total chaos but would settle for allpro.

As far as the discount, I was giving him an example. Although 20% would be awesome.

Okay so Total Chaos got back to me today and they said that they don't deal with the group buys, but their major suppliers do. So they said the deal we could probably get is 15% off with 10 buyers, and 15% off with 50% off shipping with 20 buyers.

So that would be $782.55 - 15% = $665.17 before shipping and tax. Not too shabbey.

I'm still waiting on camburg. I think that would be my first choice. I haven't seen any negative reviews on them and assuming that we could get a 15% deal like allpro and TC that would be $510 before shipping and tax.

I haven't gotten ahold of the truck shop in escondido to find out about the built right arms. Does anyone have any more info on those? How big is the uniball? Misalignment spacers? Zerks? etc.

Anybody interested in other companies?

Also I haven't found much about the allpro's. What I have found is good, just not a lot. It seems like the best deal so far. Anybody have opinions?

You're comparing apples to apples here. The big difference is that AllPro doesn't have the overhead that Camburg and Total Chaos do. Camburg and Total Chaos manufacture and distribute. Where Allpro either makes their own stuff, or has a company make products specifically for them.

Basically, Camburg's are made for $300, sold to Wheelers Offroad for $500, and then Wheelers Offroad sells them for $700. With Allpro, they're made for $300, and then AllPro sells them for $500.

Camburg's:
  • 1" Uniball (Aurora)
  • 1.25" 4130 Chromoly tubing
  • Grease zerks
  • Gussetted
AllPro's:
  • 1" Uniball (Fk)
  • 1.25" 4130 Chromoly Tubing
  • Grease zerks

From what I've found, yes they're the same. It's hard to find exact specs on this unless you contact the company itself. A lot of guys on Tacoma World run Allpro's and they seem to be inline with Camburg and TC.
