Gauging interest in UCA group buy

Sorry guys. I got really busy with work and I didn't have my rig due to an alignment gone really bad.

All pro and Camburg were pretty much tied in the voting. I know Allpro will only ship to one location (unless we have 24+ buyers). I emailed Dan at Wheelers to see if the Camburgs would go to everyone individually or one person.

I don't have a lot of desire to be the one guy who takes all the money and then ships everyones arms out, so that would be a deciding factor for me.

FWIW the allpro's normal price is the discount Camburg price.

I'm not sure if we ever heard back or not. Either way there isn't a GB for Icon unless someone else wants to take on that task. FYI, AllPro uses better tubing, and you'll save $300.

So why do the Icons cost so much more? Is it because they say Icon? I do like their little dust cup, it's kinda nifty

Larger companies have larger overhead costs. I also believe they make their own uniballs and components which will drive up the cost. People know the Icon name, and Icon knows people will pay more. This is just my opinion of course. I couldn't bring myself to pay what they want, and AllPro is a great option. You can compare all manufacturers of UCA's, and they're all right around the same. The biggest difference is going to be the duct caps, and the type of uniball they use.

I emailed the support at Icon and they never replied. That being said you can definitely contact them and see what they say. I had no special experience or qualifications.
