I have a 1999 SR5 3.4L 4x4 AUTO.
There was red transmission fluid dripping off the little skid plate under the transfer case, originally coming down from the seal around the front of the t-case.
I had the seal changed and now it is dripping gear oil?
They used a Napa seal because they couldnt find a OEM one. I'm taking it back in a few days to try an Toyota seal instead.
Now should the transfer case be filled with gear oil or ATF? Or is there ATF on one side of the seal and Gear oil on the otherside?
