Gear shift knob change

Definitely 8 for transmission and 12 for transfer case. Those are pretty cool, but I don't think they match the interior as well as the black ones.

Try emailing them to be sure. The site said the same thing for the trans case shifter. I emailed them and they unlocked it and allowed me to order.

Using Tacoma TRD Pro shift knob

"manual", oddly enough.
think the "metal look" should match the, well, metal look of the transfer knob in some of the SR5s.

be aware that the FJ shaft is a bit too long; will bash the plastic trim around the gearshift unless you modify it to fit.

Have you heard of anyone using a Tacoma shift knob for their 4Runner? I have a 15 4R Limited and am looking to replace the shift knob with a 15-16 Tacoma Limited one. Thanks!

Impressed with recently installed Ellis Precision knobs...nicely done and function wise, frees up space for way easier access to my transfer

it's funny how this thread bubbled up to the top again. the FJ shift knob was my first mod (unless you count tires and Husky liners... there's the beginning of a "build thread" joke there). when i was first taking delivery of my Trail the dealer had a red FJ TT in the showroom, and as i was ogling it i realized its shift knob would be absolutely perfect in the 4Runner. still appreciate it to this day.

re: the Tacoma TRD Pro knob: i can't say for certain, but i'm pretty sure it'll work. i think all Toyota shifters share a common thread/pitch, though i believe there may be a difference between manual and auto.

depending on the design and where it sits on the shaft, you may need to modify it — or not. give it a shot.
