The rear window switch on my center console is no longer working. Does anyone know if another year will fit? Mine is an 89. Is there a Toyota Part # for it?

If you can use a screw driver then yes. The switch is pretty simple to take apart. You'll see the contacts inside, and most likely dirt all in the switch. Clean it out with some electrical contact cleaner, and then reinstall to check functionality.
If that doesn't work check continuity between the terminals to ensure it is the switch that's bad and not another part.

I will be working on the switch today. I am so disappointed with my seller. There are so many shortcuts that he took. I am trying to put it back together the right way and keeping everything as stock as possible.
I can get the window to operate with the key, but not the switch. I don't think it is the Lock switch, but I will check that as well.

Rad4Runner, the diagrams are great. I am going to save them. My window works with the key at the tailgate and when I removed the switch and cleaned it, it didn't do anything different. I tried to jump the wires at the switch connection and I got them to work, but I am not sure how to bypass the Lock switch in case that is where the problem is.
Still learning how to identify them and figure out a way to bypass the Lock/Unlock switch on the console. I am trying to do it without splicing the wires. Right now, since I can get to it from the rear, it is not a huge priority.
If you have an idea on which wires to bypass by color code, I will try it.

Console control simply shorts pins 4 & 5 to ground through the up-down switch, through door lock switch, to cover top switch. We already know that cover-top switch connection to ground is good because tailgate key works.
I suspect either:
1) Broken wire from your console to the top-off switch,
2) Bad switches, OR
3) Tripped circuit breaker.
(Your wire colors may be different. Schematic is from 1986-1988 22RE)
To verify (1) & (2):
Disconnect up/down switch,
One at a time, jump Red-Yellow to ground, then Green-Yellow to ground.
Window should go up or down. If it does, test up-down switch and door lock switch.
If above does not move the window, must be tripped Circuit Breaker.
Access the control relay and probe back of pin 6 (blue wire?) for 12V.
If no voltage there, CB can be reset by poking the tiny hole with a toothpick. Use non-metallic tool to be safe.
