Gen4 owner considering other SUVs next

I am 5'10" and have struggled to find the perfect seat adjustment for driving comfort. For my legs to reach the pedals right, I feel like I am too close to the steering wheel. If I then tilt the seat back to gain some distance between the steering wheel and myself, the steering wheel is too far of a stretch for my arms. It takes a really long time for me to get the seat dialed in just right. Like someone else mentioned, everyones arms and legs are built differently. I think the 4Runner could benefit from adjustable pedals and a telescoping steering wheel.
Does anyone know if the GX comes without all of the little noise issues that the 4Runner seems to have? I am referring to the tailgate squeak, the rear seat latch rattle, the moonroof shade rattle, the moonroof track chatter, and the occasional dashboard squeak. Once you track all of these down and address them, its not so bad, but otherwise all these little noises can add up and start to drive a person crazy.

You mean the waiting room at the Volvo dealer while it's getting repaired???
My 2005 SE V6 has a telescoping steering wheel. There's a pull down handle on the bottom edge of steering column. Pull that down and you can pull the steering wheel out.
Regarding the numerous rattles and squeaks you listed, that's really strange. My truck has 116K on it now (bought it a month ago with 114K) and it does not have even one of those creaks or rattles.

My Volvo had super comfortable seats. My parents still have it and all it's needed in 150,000 miles is a new water pump.
I have the same issues as you do with 2,5, and 6. I had an 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was much much much more comfortable but the 4Runner over all seems to be a better vehicle.
If you can’t decide, don't. Keep the 4Runner until you really find what you want.
What are you looking for?
There are crossover SUVs that get decent mileage and bigger SUVs if you need the space or want to tow?
Or if money isn't an issue maybe:

Oh snap I just nutted.....lol...Damn those porsches. Well I've been pondering on the new jeep SRT8. LIKE I SAID PONDERING I HAVEN'T RESEARCHED IT YET but Damn 170mph..Ouch don't mind the caps
Oh... btw, Thursday, my wife informed me that while going through the touchless carwash the rubber strip located on the roof which runs between the roof rack was blown out during the drying phase of the car wash..... see that is the stuff that bugs me.
It should be an easy fix but needs to be warmer for me to replace.
Anyone ever considered the first generation Sequoia? I always liked it but is much cheezier inside than a Lexus. The second generation Sequoia has not appeal for me and have read a number mediocre reviews.
Gotta love the Range Rover HSE.... ! However, I start shaking with the thought of owning a used one without extended insurance. It's like not wearing a seat belt. I have heard horror stories. In fact my brother just leased a 2011 Supercharged and developed an engine leak within 2 weeks.
It should be an easy fix but needs to be warmer for me to replace.

Thanks for the heads up. Man do I look like a goof now. I just went out and checked and sure enough the telescoping lever was there. My steering wheel was already pulled out almost all of the way, but I was able to get an extra 1/2-3/4 of an inch. Any little bit will help.
In terms of the rattles, I have been chasing them down and addressing them one at a time. I had a break through last night with my moonroof rattle. If my fix works for a few days I will post pics of how I solved it. (Different issue than the rails and rubber washer fix)

The GX470 is sure a nice SUV but for $160 I had a tear in my seat repaired and the guy added another 50% padding to the seat. Now it is very comfortable. I am 5'11" and no issues.
