Getting New 4th gen Tires! Pick One...

How do you figure? I've heared the skinnier tire will have less resistance and get better MPG, but more power? Not likely w/ a taller tire. Explain if I'm wrong. Thanks

It's probably lighter. Lighter = more power. I'm not saying it's going to be a lot. Maybe one or two hp if your lucky.

Duratrac's are the "new BFG AT KO". And bonus...they can actually be balanced.

I have had two sets of the BFGs. The BFG's will have a stronger sidewall, especially in the higher load ranges and I don't think I have ever seen a tire wear as well as the BFG's. But, they are rarely round, are hella noisy once they wear down a bit, and are getting a little long in tooth technology-wise. Until the Duratracs, they really were the perfect compromise tire.

I think the Duratracs are the most aggressive AT from a looks perspective, are winter rated, studdable and round. I don't have an offroad report yet, but so far, I am really digging them.
