Getting new Limited was not easy in my neck of the woods. I could not find any Limited in my area (within 80 miles) with the exception of one dealer, who offered 18K(LOL) trade-in value on my 2012 SR5 (48K miles) Premium. Later they called me and offered 24K (mechanic did not realize that you have leather seats.. XXLOL). I do not deal with such scumbags, so I was able to get 27K trade-in, loaded Limited (with auto running boards too) for 42.3K from another dealer. They started looking for it and after two days offered me one, which is still on the ship in route to the US, but without auto boards (-$1350). So I am at almost 41K, no auto boards, but in color I wanted. Ship will arrive to East Coast on 8-18 and I should have it at dealer's by 8-23. Not so happy about price, but trade-in sounds good and few dealers, who had what I want within 200 miles did not want to go under 43.5K. I did not feel to travel hundreds of miles just to find out that they want to low ball me on my trade, since I could not get any commitment on the trade-in over the phone.

You are lucky you have more dealers to check prices at. I live in the middle of nowhere and the town I live in is the only Toyota dealer within a 3 hour drive. Luckily they treat me pretty good. I think you did the right thing. I would not drive that far either to try to save a little more money.
It really depends... am I lucky or not.. I traveled the world and know different cultures. The sales guy at the first dealership, who offered me 18K for the trade almost dropped the jaw to the floor, when I asked him "Are you Nigerian?". Yes, he was, LOL and his boss with the golden Rolex on the wrist was an Arab.Come over and try to buy a car from those dudes!
