Actually, I came here and made one simple comment about my personal overall philosophy regarding tools; not to fight.....you and your buddy took offense and I've simply commented from there. If you think the thread's ruined, all you have to do is stop replying to me....but it's clear that you can't.

I may be behind the camera but there are plenty of people here on the forum that can attest that I have personally helped on their rig and got my hands dirty while doing so without ever picking up a camera....

I patiently waited months from when you took the rims to settle this debt but instead you post a bunch of pictures of all your cool new fancy expensive mods and come back at me with charging me to basically hang out as friends?....

You should probably inform "4reak show" of his current bill to be "friends" with you.. i'm sure he would reconsider if he knew you were charging him $34/hour
honestly that is totally ludicrous. like who even does that? Furthermore, if you expected monetary compensation for the time we spent hanging out as friends you should have informed me ahead of time... not months later. When you came over to my house i provided beer and even took you out to lunch for fish N chips... I wasn't taking advantage of you, i was being a Friend.
so here we have proof that you DID know that there was still a balance due (even though we didn't agree on the actual amount after some time passed).
and on top of all of this, I regret being super generous with what little money i have and bought you a body lift from shootmymime which you ended up not wanting so I took the hit on the return shipping cost back to him....

Geoff, you're a grown man with a family and i hope you aren't teaching your children these sneaky moves. I invited you and 4 reak show to my mod/meetup/BBQ days to hang out... and did i really MAKE you do all these "mods" that day?... we were all drinking, eating and hanging out. I wasn't being pushy and even if i was you have the right to say no. There were plenty of other forum members there that day which i believe remember it differently.
.... so there you have it folks. you decide who is in the wrong.

Man, this is such a bummer to read. Obviously, this wheels issue was not settled as described a few pages back.
From those texts, it seems you are justifying rolling around on wheels you haven't yet paid for. Sean has a huge expense coming up for his tranny (lol that sounds dirty). Seeing your recent mods, which are pretty cool I will admit, you have the ability to pay him.
Retroactively charging someone labor fees at a mod meet up is something I have never heard, and is baffling.
Yes, I am a nobody with low post count. However I have been lurking this forum going on 6 years now.
I truly hope this can be settled amicably. Having met Sean twice now, he is a super good dude. And def not just a camera man. In fact, I did a portion of the filming as they replaced my LCA bushings because Sean was lending a hand.

So glad I've learned the true colors of a couple Bay Area people on this forum. Neither of them I'd want at my house for a future TR4 get-together or mod/repair day. One of them who charges their friends to hang out with and other an Elitist Certified Mechanic who thinks he's better than any DIY mechanic because of his certification and overpriced tools. Pretty funny actually how you basically in so many ways showed your disdain for DIY Mechanics when the people who wrench on this forum are overwhelmingly DIYers like me.
I'll come visit your build thread again when our YouTube Channel hits 1 million views and I shove it up your a**. 8 months, 820 subscribers and 110,000 views to date. It doesn't take a PHD in mathematics that it's not only plausible but almost certain, if we continue to make quality videos, our videos could help millions.
The transmission flush I did for Sean 8,000 miles ago is certainly not the cause of his transmission failure like you and you buddy would like to claim. This shows both of your ignorance. If a worn transmission with dirty fluid gets a flush, yes, you run the risk of the transmission slipping afterward because the worn clutches in the transmission were depending on that thicker old ATF with clutch material suspended in it to keep it from slipping. Sean's transmission NEVER experienced slipping. Sean's transmission experienced a Structural Failure, and from what I researched the culprit is most likely the planetary gear for the overdrive. Sean's transmission detonated on the freeway which falls in line with the planetary gear failure. When we dropped the pan, we saw a ton of metal fragments which confirmed for us something structurally failed not to mention his transmission sounds like it has gravel in it. I've now retired two vehicles with slipping transmissions and neither of them sounded like Sean's. The fact that you two A-Holes are insinuating that I'm to blame for the transmission failure is really f*cked up. You should also do you homework before making accusations. Look up Planetary Gear Failure of the 01 and 02 models and educate yourselves.
And just for the record, your buddy was the first one who took this to the next level. I was just commenting that a DIY mechanic can quite often do just as good of a job and often better than a Certified Mechanic and touting the amount of people a quality YouTube video could reach. Tons of people have had bad experiences taking their rig to a shop with certified mechanics, including myself. And, your buddy might be able to help his select group of friends he charges for his help, but he's never going to have the impact Sean and I've had until he decides for himself to get in front of the camera and share his knowledge with other people for free. It's too bad your buddy got all butt hurt and had to get all nasty and aggressive. But don't worry, you and your buddy can post back and insult me every which way you like. I won't be back for a while.
